Family Home Program

Family Home is a residential model that mirrors the concept of a natural family using family providers.  Community Living Campbellford/Brighton’s Family Home program is nationally recognized for its excellence.

Supportive full-time and respite Family Home accommodations are generously provided by positive, caring and inclusive minded people.  Children and adults with an intellectual disability are matched with Family Home providers based on mutual interest, preference and compatibility.  Many lifelong relationships have been fostered!

The purpose of the Family Home Program is to provide people with intellectual disabilities who do not have the abilities or desire to live independently in the community, the opportunity to live in a family setting.  In order to make the Family Home Program as successful as possible, families are paired with people that have similar hobbies, interests, values, etc.  This process has proven to be very successful…as you can see from our “family” photos.

Community Living Campbellford/Brighton’s nationally recognized Family Home program is seeking positive and inclusive people to provide children and adults who have an intellectual disability with supportive full time and respite accommodations.

This programs matches people with family home providers based on interest, preference and compatibility and has supported many lifelong relationships.

Community Living Campbellford/Brighton offers financial reimbursement, professional support and training for all family home providers. There is a need for family home and  respite providers in the Campbellford and Brighton communities however we would welcome interested people and families in Havelock, Cobourg, Trenton, Belleville and any community in between.
