This has been a very busy summer for ACE!! 

We started the summer with a new member’s night where 9 people joined ACE.  We are very excited with our new recruits as they bring a fresh outlook. 

We hosted our first barbecue of the summer in Brighton which was a huge success! 

We are now busy into planning our 7th Annual Self-Advocates Conference, which is held in Trenton each year.  We are excited to have with us the Drum Café, Amigos, and many exciting others. 

We are still attending many other conferences across the province, along with planning our own. Just recently we attended the Community Living Ontario Conference, and are planning on attending the Speaking Out Conference in Port Elgin in late September. 

We are pleased with our accomplishments so far and can’t wait for what the fall holds in store for us.

Another Great Year for ACE’s 7th Annual Conference

 It was another great year for their 7th Annual Self-Advocates Conference held at the Holiday Inn Trenton on September 16th and 17th. They were very excited to have with them the Drum Café to kick the conference off with a very inspirational start. Other speakers included Amigos, sprOUT, the A Team, Voice Committee, Ernie Parsons, and The Respect Our Homes Coalition.
